More than a million people lose their lives annually due to accidents. Many people are not aware that more than 50% of the victims are between the ages 15-44. If a Dash camera is installed in a car, it won’t be able to prevent the accident, but the video recording can be used as evidence in a trial or to claim compensation from the culprit. This article will act as a manual for the Vantrue R2 dash camera.
Most people I have seen don’t want to install a Dash camera and regret it later on. There were many cases where the victim suffered due to an accident, not the culprit. Footage from a dash camera is very helpful to settle insurance-related claims.
The Vantrue R2 camera records in intervals of 2 minutes each. There is very little chance of data corruption or accidental deletion. A special feature inside the camera enables it to delete unnecessary footage and keep only the important parts.
You can use it to take photos and record a long journey, keeping those memories alive forever. We won’t be discussing those details about Vantrue R2 Dash camera in our manual later on though.
Most people don’t know what a Dash camera such as the Vantrue R2 Dash is useful for. I once confused a Dash camera with an action camera. I purchased an action camera by mistake and I took it back to where I bought it soon afterward. The main difference between the two cameras is that a dash camera can only be mounted near a car’s windscreen. An action camera can be mounted anywhere, even your head. Most people use an action camera to record sporting events or during a stunt show.
It can record the exact moment of an accident, also moment leading to it. Other than that, there is nothing extraordinary about the camera and the company Vantrue is also new in the business. If you go to the internet, you will see hundreds of companies who are trying to sell their product. Most of them don’t succeed, except for those who can make good quality products. Vantrue is one of the few companies which makes high quality cameras in our opinion.
The company Vantrue came into the spotlight very recently. The magazine Wirecutter ran a piece on Vantrue ‘sOnDash N2 Dual Dash Cam a few months back which sparked our interest in the company. Actually, the R2 came before the N2 model. Vanture wanted to prove to everyone that all dashcams do not have same features. They decided to release more dashcam models after Vantrue R2 started receiving positive reviews from its users. Price of the R2 is lower than the N2 but contains fewer features.
As with any other dash cameras, you will need to know a few things about how to use Vantrue R2 dash camera. The recording and mounting features are quite easy to understand. When you will open the package, make sure that contains the following things:-
